Born and raised on a farm in the small town of Marion, SC, Stephen found roots in Charleston in 2003. He has been involved in the food and beverage scene since the Summer of 2000 getting his start as a barback in Murrells Inlet, SC for Divine Dining Group. Upon moving to Charleston, Stephen began his career as a commercial photographer and information technology professional along with continuing involvement with the food and beverage industry. While overseeing the technology and ticketing processes for Charleston Wine + Food, Stephen found his true passion in the world of bartending. Having met so many creative professionals in the industry and learning so much of its history and the art of creating cocktails, Stephen decided to immerse himself into cocktail culture. He has worked in some of Charleston’s best bars including: The Macintosh, Edmund’s Oast, Doar Bros., and Vintage Lounge. Outside of those establishments, he regularly hosts virtual or in person cocktail classes and mobile craft cocktail bar services for private gatherings. He is inspired by history, culture, and the fine arts when it comes to conceptualizing his cocktail ideas.
